Ameinu warmly congratulates Yitzhak Herzog on his election as the 11th President of Israel. We have deeply appreciated our friendship and partnership with President-elect Herzog since the founding of Ameinu. He has been both supportive of our efforts in the United States and gratified by our involvement with political and social causes on the ground in Israel.
During the time he filled a variety of leadership roles including as a government minister, Chair of the Israeli Labor Party and as Chair of the Jewish Agency for Israel, he has always found time to meet with Ameinu members whether in the United States or in Israel.
