Ameinu joins all lovers of Israel, the Jewish people, seekers of peace and believers that the Middle East can be a region of unity rather than conflict, in mourning the passing of President Shimon Peres, z”l.
Much has been written, and will be written, about the long life and tremendous legacy of President Peres — all fitting for a man of such enormous historical significance.
But at a time of mourning such as this, we remember President Peres as a true giant. He was the last of Israel’s heroic founding generation and a profound visionary, dreamer, doer, Zionist hero and pursuer of peace.
May President Peres’ memory be a blessing for all Israel and the entire world.
