We wish to thank you and the organization you head for your expression of support. The encouragement we draw from from the solidarity of those who truly care about the future of Israel is crucial for regenerating the strength required for carrying on the daily struggle for a democratic Israel.
Needless to say, we will be glad to meet with members of Ameinu if and when they happen to visit here and will be honored to have them visit our weekly vigils in Sheikh Jarrah.
As you know, the struggle against the injustices done in Sheikh Jarrah, where Palestinians are made refugees for a second time based on discriminatory legal claims, as in the rest of East Jerusalem, is a joint struggle. As such, it is premised on the understanding that the future of this country depends upon our ability to forge decent relation with our neighbours and even more on ties and understanding which can only be built through dialogue and joint work.
We are very happy for your support, and would be happy to see more American Jews showing
such an interest in the reality here in Israel and a genuine concern for its moral and social well-being. Hopefully, together we will grow bigger, and inspire many others to the cause of equality and justice in our country
