Dror Israel’s Work with Ukrainian Refugees: Updates from Warsaw and Tel Aviv

In recent months, Ameinu has been following the horrific events that are taking place in the Ukraine. As Jews, we cannot help but have deep feelings of sympathy and concern for the people of this country.

As we reported to you in our recent membership appeal, our friends and partners in Dror Israel provided much needed, crucial assistance to Ukrainian refugees in Poland. Dror Israel educators have been working with children and their parents and training other local educators, seven days a week, in three hangars of the Ptak Expo Center in Warsaw.  In a very short time, this has become the largest refugee camp in Europe.

As part of our annual membership campaign, we also asked you in our last appeal to support  Dror Israel.  While our membership campaign continues, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your generosity so far and invite you to an informative program with Dror Israel:

Mirit Sulema, Dror Israel’s Head of the International Relationships Team will lead this discussion. She will be joined by a Ukrainian refugee who was trained by Dror Israel who is now working in the Warsaw refugee centers. We will learn about Dror Israel’s work in Poland in recent months, and their work in Israel with Ukrainian refugees which include assistance with housing in hotels and welcoming children to the Ha’Noar Ha’Oved Ve’Halomed youth movement.
