With great pain and sorrow, Ameinu wishes to express its deep condolences to the families of Almog Sarusi, Alex Lobanov, Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Ori Danino, and Hersh Goldberg-Polin, the six Israeli hostages whose bodies were recovered by the IDF in Gaza. Our hearts are broken by this devastating news.
Ameinu stands in solidarity with the hundreds of thousands of Israelis who have taken to the streets to call for an immediate ceasefire and the return of the hostages, as well as with those voices calling for Monday’s general strike. Ameinu calls upon the government of Israel to listen to its citizens and negotiate in good faith to end this war now. It is now 330 days since the devastation and destruction of October 7th and it is time to bring all the hostages home now.
May the memories of the deceased be for a blessing and may this war be brought to an immediate end with the return of all of the hostages.
