Ameinu Condemns Call for Israel?s Destruction by Iranian President
Ameinu totally and unequivocally condemns the genocidal call by Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, for Israel to be "wiped off the map." Unfortunately, his barbaric remark, made last week while addressing an Islamic Student Associations conference on "The World Without Zionism," was just another in a long stream of anti-Israel vitriol that has spewed out of Iran since the regime of the mullahs took power in 1979. What gives teeth to Ahmadinejad's words is the fact that Iran is growing ever closer to producing a nuclear weapon.
A nuclear Iran is not merely a threat to Israel: Iran's development and testing of long-range delivery systems demonstrate its desire to threaten Europe and Asia. Let there be no mistake: the destruction of Israel would only be the first step -- Iran's end goal is nothing less than the complete domination and subjugation of the West to its warped form of Islamic extremism.
"A nuclear Iran would be a danger to the entire free world," stated Kenneth Bob, Ameinu national president. "The time has come for the United States and the European Union to take active steps to ensure that this insane regime fails in its attempts to acquire nuclear weapons."
He continued, "Ameinu is heartened by the condemnation of these remarks by most of the civilized world. We call on the international community to isolate Ahmadinejad?s regime and hold Iran accountable for its words."
